The Diquis Spheres
Hundreds of perfectly round stone balls scattered across Costa Rica, first documented in the 1930s, demonstrate mathematical precision that defies simple explanation. These range from palm-sized to massive 2.5-meter spheres weighing up to 16 tons, carved from granodiorite between 600-1500 AD. Found in the Diquis Delta region, their remarkable roundness suggests advanced stoneworking techniques by a culture that left few other traces.
