Roman Dodecahedra
Hollow twelve-sided bronze objects found across Europe continue to puzzle archaeologists about their purpose—tools, measuring devices, or sacred items? These strange artifacts range from 4 to 11 centimeters in size. Over 100 have been discovered since the 1700s, often near Roman military sites. Each face contains a different-sized hole with decorative knobs at the corners. No signs of wear suggest practical use, and no Roman texts mention them, deepening the mystery.
