Unlike other Dead Sea Scrolls, this unusual metal document found near Qumran in 1952 lists hidden treasure locations that researchers still cannot identify. Etched on copper instead of parchment, it details 64 caches of gold and silver written in Hebrew, dating to around 70 AD. The scroll mentions places like “the fountain of Beth Sham” that remain unlocated. Some scholars think the treasures were looted long ago, while others question if the inventory was entirely fictional.
