The Kelly-Hopkinsville Encounter (1955)

A Kentucky family barricaded themselves in their farmhouse against what they called “little green men.” The Sutton family fired shotguns at small creatures with glowing eyes and claw-like hands. Police found the family genuinely terrified. The beings reportedly walked with a floating motion and couldn’t be harmed by gunfire. News of the encounter spread quickly. Investigators found no evidence of alcohol or drugs involved. The family gained nothing from their story.
