The Rendlesham Forest Case (1980)
U.S. military personnel at RAF Woodbridge investigated strange lights in the nearby forest. Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt recorded the event on tape. They found three-toed impressions and broken branches where something had landed. Radiation readings spiked in the area. Sergeant Jim Penniston claimed he touched a craft with hieroglyphic symbols. Both British and American officials downplayed the incident despite compelling evidence from military witnesses.
