Puppies Used as Living Containers
Border officials rescued live puppies being used as drug mules during a heartbreaking discovery. The young dogs had heroin packets surgically implanted beneath their skin. Veterinary inspectors noticed unusual sutures and swelling on the animals. X-rays confirmed foreign objects inside the puppies.
