Holy Books Hiding Unholy Cargo
Customs agents in Miami intercepted what appeared to be religious texts but discovered something far from spiritual inside. The books had carefully hollowed-out centers with contraband hidden within the binding and pages. The smugglers counted on the respectful handling of religious items to avoid thorough inspection. Officers found the hidden items only when one book felt unusually heavy.
