The Battle of Shizugatake, fought on June 10-11, 1583, in Ōmi Province, Japan, was a decisive conflict between Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Shibata Katsuie. Hideyoshi’s forces, numbering approximately 50,000, faced Katsuie’s 30,000 troops. Despite initial successes by Katsuie, Hideyoshi’s timely reinforcements turned the tide, leading to a significant victory.
