Between 636 and 638 CE, the Rashidun Caliphate conquered Palestine, ushering in a new era as the region became part of the growing Islamic world. Under the Rashidun, followed by the Umayyad and Abbasid caliphates, Palestine experienced sweeping changes: new cities were founded, mosques constructed, and a distinctive Islamic administrative system established.
