Chris Abandoned His Car After the Engine Flooded

Christopher was inspired by adventurers like John Muir and Jack London, so he headed westward toward the desert before his Alaskan trek. Christopher’s little yellow Datsun was flooded in a flash flood one night, which he took as a sign. Christopher left it on the side of the road with a note that anyone who could move it could have it. He also left the majority of his belongings in the car, including a guitar, $4.93 in change, a 25-pound bag of rice, a new electric razor, and the car keys. He subsequently burned the cash in his wallet and decided to hitchhike onward.
