11. Poor Infrastructure
Afghanistan’s mountainous landscape and limited network of reliable roads posed major obstacles for soldiers. Travel and logistics became slow and unpredictable, with supply convoys and troop movements frequently delayed. The poor infrastructure not only hampered mission effectiveness but also increased vulnerability to ambushes. Simple movements could take hours or days longer than expected, adding frustration to already complex operations.
