Alfred Taubman
A. Alfred Taubman was an American real estate developer. He was born in 1924 and passed away in 2015. Taubman developed several large and successful shopping centers, including the Beverly Center in Los Angeles and the Mall at Short Hills in New Jersey.
He was a generous donor to several institutions, including the University of Michigan, where he established the A. Alfred Taubman Medical Research Institute. He was also a strong supporter of the arts, and served as chairman of the board of trustees of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Taubman has an estimated net worth of just over $3 billion.
