He was known for his strict negotiation tactics and his reluctance to spend money, even on himself. Daniel Ludwig died in 1992, leaving behind a legacy as one of the richest and most successful businessmen of his time. Daniel Ludwig died in 1992, at the age of 95. At the time of his death, his net worth was estimated to be around $6.9 billion, which would be even more than that today, because of inflation.
