3. The Confused Time Zone: Hiroshima
On August 6, 1945, the U.S. B-29 bomber Enola Gay dropped the atomic bomb “Little Boy” over Hiroshima at 8:15 a.m. local time. However, due to time zone differences, the Japanese military received the warning of the impending attack several minutes later, delaying their response.
