27. Archeological Records Show an Ancient Shark Attack
Shark attacks are incredibly rare. However, when they do occur, there tends to be a media frenzy that makes them seem more common than they are. Even rarer than a shark attack today is evidence of ancient shark attacks, but in 2021, archeologists uncovered a skeleton that seems to have been attacked by either a great white shark or a tiger shark as early as 1370 BCE. The frame suggests that the man was alive at the time of the attack, and he received at least 790 puncture wounds, which likely killed him.
