Heath Ledger was an Australian actor and director known for his roles in films such as “Brokeback Mountain,” “The Dark Knight,” and “10 Things I Hate About You.” He was born on April 4, 1979, in Perth, Western Australia. Heath began his acting career in Australian television and film before making his way to Hollywood.
Tragically, Ledger died on January 22, 2008, in his New York City apartment at the age of 28. The cause of death was determined to be an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
