A Day That Shook the World

President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, during a motorcade. The 46-year-old leader was shot while riding in an open car with his wife, Jacqueline, and Governor John Connally. The Warren Commission later identified Lee Harvey Oswald, a troubled ex-Marine, as the lone gunman who fired from the Texas School Book Depository. Many witnesses, however, reported hearing shots from other locations, and questions about Oswald’s motives persisted.
