The triumph at Vimy Ridge came at a profound human cost. Over the four-day battle, Canadian forces suffered more than 10,600 casualties, including approximately 3,600 deaths. Nearly every community across Canada felt the devastating impact of these losses, mourning sons, brothers, and fathers who never returned. The heavy toll deeply affected families and towns nationwide, leaving lasting scars and empty spaces in Canadian homes.
