8. Sweden and Norway
Union, and subsequent war in 1814, once divided Sweden and Norway. Now, the two countries are models of Nordic cooperation and routinely top global peacefulness rankings, benefiting from their close political, cultural, and economic links. They share a long history of collaboration, including a personal union from 1814 to 1905, and have maintained strong diplomatic relations since its dissolution.
