18. Use of the Environment as Weapon
Native warriors skillfully turned the natural world into a weapon, manipulating fire, weather, and terrain to impede or trap cowboy forces. Setting grass fires, exploiting storms, or blocking paths with natural obstacles, they consistently leveraged environmental factors to gain the upper hand.
