10. World War II (Against Hungary, 1942)
On June 5, 1942, the United States declared war on Hungary, following Hungary’s declaration of war on the U.S. on December 13, 1941. As an Axis power, Hungary participated in the invasion of the Soviet Union and engaged in military operations alongside Germany. Despite its contributions, Hungary’s role was less significant compared to major Axis powers like Germany and Italy. For the official declaration document, refer to the Senate’s records: (senate.gov).
