28. Battle of Zhari (2010)
The Battle of Zhari featured intense combat as U.S. and Canadian troops worked to clear entrenched Taliban forces from Kandahar Province’s volatile Zhari District. Considered one of Afghanistan’s most dangerous battlegrounds, the district saw frequent ambushes, IEDs, and close-quarters fighting. Securing Zhari was vital to undermining Taliban influence in southern Afghanistan.
