In 1979, Ted Bundy, a charismatic serial killer, was tried for the murders of two Florida State University students, Lisa Levy and Margaret Bowman, at the Chi Omega sorority house. This trial was among the first to be nationally televised, exposing the public to gruesome evidence and influencing courtroom security and media coverage of serial crimes.
