Emerging from war and natural disasters, Bangladesh has achieved significant progress in poverty reduction, manufacturing, and women’s empowerment, now seen as a model for innovation in South Asia (worldbank.org). The country’s textile industry has been a major driver of economic growth, with exports reaching $50 billion in 2024, an 8.3% increase from the previous year. Additionally, initiatives like the Ektee Bari Ektee Khamar project have provided financing to 21.8 million people, forming about 90,000 Village Development Associations, contributing to rural development and poverty alleviation.
