15. Cleopatra VII: The Manipulator in the Shadows
Cleopatra VII, the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, is renowned for her political acumen and strategic alliances. To consolidate her power, she married her brothers Ptolemy XIII and Ptolemy XIV, as was customary in the Ptolemaic dynasty. However, these alliances were short-lived; Cleopatra is believed to have poisoned Ptolemy XIII, and Ptolemy XIV died under suspicious circumstances, possibly also due to poisoning.
