5. Civilian Suffering and Mass Displacement
Throughout the battle, civilians suffered immensely. Heavy fighting and bombardments destroyed homes, schools, and sacred sites, forcing thousands to flee into the countryside or seek shelter in makeshift camps. Many were caught in the crossfire—killed, wounded, or separated from their families.
