6. United Nations Air Forces
While American forces formed the backbone of UN air operations, pilots and aircraft from numerous allied nations played crucial roles in the Korean skies. Britain dispatched its capable Gloucester Meteor jets, Australia’s No. 77 Squadron provided air support with Mustangs and later Meteors, and Canada, South Africa, and other countries contributed aircraft, pilots, and logistical support.
