Georgy Zhukov, the Soviet Union’s most celebrated marshal, commanded with relentless determination during World War II. His offensives at Stalingrad and the final assault on Berlin were turning points in the conflict, but came at a tremendous human cost. Zhukov’s willingness to absorb and inflict massive casualties underscored his uncompromising approach to victory.
