9. The Burma Railway March (1942-1943)
During the construction of the infamous Burma Railway, Allied prisoners—including British, Australian, and Dutch soldiers—were forced by Japanese captors to march great distances through dense jungle. They worked under unimaginable conditions, suffering from malnutrition, disease, and cruel treatment.
