5. The Mycenaean Civilization

The Mycenaeans dominated Greek Bronze Age culture, leaving behind imposing palaces and legendary tales like those of Agamemnon. Around 1200 BCE, however, their civilization collapsed abruptly. Archaeologists have uncovered evidence of widespread destruction—likely caused by a combination of powerful earthquakes, foreign invasions, and internal turmoil.
