4. Royal Horse Guards (The Blues)
The Royal Horse Guards, known as “The Blues,” were renowned for their imposing cavalry charges at the Battle of Waterloo and their distinctive blue uniforms. As part of the Household Cavalry, they held a prestigious position within the British Army (hcavfoundation.org). Their effectiveness in battle and ceremonial duties paralleled that of the Life Guards, the other regiment of the Household Cavalry.
