13. The “Traditional” Wedding Dress
The white wedding dress is now synonymous with bridal tradition, but this custom is less than two centuries old. Queen Victoria set the trend in 1840 when she wore white for her wedding, sparking widespread admiration and imitation. Before this, European brides often chose colorful gowns, with no set palette.
