9. Art Competitions
Between 1912 and 1948, the Olympic Games featured art competitions in five categories: architecture, literature, music, painting, and sculpture. These events, inspired by Pierre de Coubertin’s vision to blend art and sport, awarded medals for works reflecting athletic themes.
