9. Aztec Tlatoani as Descendants of Gods
Aztec rulers, or Tlatoani, claimed a sacred role as intermediaries of powerful gods such as Huitzilopochtli. Their authority was deeply intertwined with elaborate religious rituals, which reinforced their connection to the divine and justified their rule.
