9. Casting Non-Native Actors
Hollywood has a long record of casting non-Native actors in Native roles, a practice known as “redface.” A notable example is Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Tonto in The Lone Ranger, which drew widespread criticism for cultural insensitivity.
