Kim Jong-un, the Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011, presides over one of the most *oppressive regimes* in the world. Following in the footsteps of his father, Kim Jong-il, and grandfather, Kim Il-sung, his leadership has been marked by severe human rights abuses, including political repression, forced labor camps, and widespread famine.
Kim has prioritized military development, launching numerous missile tests and advancing North Korea’s nuclear capabilities, often in defiance of international sanctions. His regime’s cult of personality and propaganda perpetuate a climate of fear, while the population remains isolated from the outside world, raising critical concerns about human rights and global security.
