9. Time Spent in Mental Institutions

In 1908, after a severe breakdown, Munch voluntarily admitted himself to a mental clinic in Copenhagen. During his stay, he underwent treatment for his anxiety, depression, and alcoholism, echoing the struggles of other artists like Van Gogh. This period became a turning point: he emerged with a renewed approach to life and creativity.
