14. Gobekli Tepe
Gobekli Tepe, located in Turkey, is considered the world’s oldest known temple—predating Stonehenge by thousands of years. Massive carved stones were arranged by unknown builders, yet their purpose and rituals remain lost to time. Even more puzzling, the entire site was intentionally buried for reasons still unknown. This ancient wonder continues to challenge assumptions about early human society.
